DESCRIPTION:Are you ready for another year?  We are!\nCAMP Festival 2019 is presented by Mount Royal University. \nWe have talks\, campfire chats\, panels\, slowburns\, hands-on sessions\, roundtables and a special evening event with creative luminaries including: Wade & Leta\, Mike Hill\, Dr. Ryan Todd\, Nadieh Bremer\, Sands Fish\, Anastasia Victor\, Matthew Luckhurst\, David Karlak…and more! \nHow Sessions Work\nCAMP Festival starts at 10:00 am and ends around 6:00 pm with a 75-minute lunch break each day. \nThere are three to four sessions happening simultaneously with 15-minute breaks between sessions\, and you are free to move between the different rooms at any time\, no pre-registration needed. \nCAMP Festival has a variety of session types:\nTalks\nSit back and learn from one of our industry experts covering art\, design\, innovative technology\, storytelling\, film\, navigating the creative world and more. \nCampfire Chats\nGet cozy around the campfire for storytelling with no slides\, no filters\, and no limits. \nHands-On Sessions\nGet more involved with a topic with these 90-minute hands-on sessions where you’re invited to engage with the speaker\, and each other to solve problems\, discuss real-life case studies\, and more! Walk away learning something valuable you can put to use in your work and personal projects. \nSlow burns\nOnce a day we’ll have a 90-minute mini-symposium focused on a single topic\, highlighting perspectives from various industry professionals. May include performances\, panel discussions\, Q&A and more. \nRoundtables\nLive streamed from a top-secret location\, directly to you in the main foyer of the Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts\, these discussions will include CAMP speakers and special guests discussing a common theme. Play the fly on the wall as you watch and hear an off-the-cuff conversation amongst industry pros. \nAdventure Workshops\nThese half-day workshops happen on Sunday\, October 6th\, and require a separate ticket. Registration and space is limited. Choose from four incredible options! \n
