Presented by Alberta Media Production Industries and Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity
This third annual Story Summit focuses on story, technology, diversity and inclusion in the ever changing eco-system of content and media and entertainment. The Summit is the premier gathering for North American digital content creators, videographers, filmmakers, producers, and directors – and will include keynote speakers, panel discussions, and workshops crafted to sharpen both the technical and creative skills needed to stay relevant and in the game, as well as invaluable opportunities to have one-on-one time to connect with presenters and industry insiders at table-top lunches and other socials at this unique industry networking event.
Keynote speakers include Jon Giegengack who will look at trends that are leading the way in the media and entertainment industry, Melissa Mollen Dupuis, 2017 Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience who will address topics in Indigenous storytelling and authentic content. Also joining as a workshop faculty is Stephen Campanelli, who has 25 years as Clint Eastwood’s go-to cameraman in his credits including Bridges of Madison County, Million Dollar Baby and the upcoming 15:17 to Paris, opening February 2018. Campanelli is following in his mentor’s footsteps and has recently directed two feature films Momentum, and the award-winning film, Indian Horse and also worked on Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri
